Our Mission at Green Property Solutions (GPS) is to create efficient and sustainable buildings, businesses and brands by implementing innovative and cost saving strategies, using financial models that produce measurable results and bring a substantial return on investment.

GPS is comprised of dedicated professionals with a proven track record in commercial real estate operations, maintenance, leasing, construction, project management, and business consulting.  As part of our team and bucket of resources, we are proud to include the best and most innovative experts in the real estate, finance and green building industries.

Shayna Eskew, Principal

Shayna EskewShayna brings over 20 years experience in commercial building operations and management to the organization. During that time, Shayna has had responsibility for all aspects of operations, leasing, construction management and executive financial reporting for property portfolios throughout the San Francisco Bay area, ranging from Office, Retail, Industrial, Multi-Family Residential and a Military Base.

PM Realty Group, Equity Office Properties Trust, Jones Lang LaSalle, Compass Management and Leasing and Catellus Development Corporation are just a few of the firms for whom Shayna worked prior to launching Green Property Solutions or “GPS”. The organization was formed out of her passion for the existing commercial built environment and in recognition of the over-all impact it makes on the environment every day. Because she has spent years finding ways to increase value by more efficiently operating commercial buildings, she is uniquely suited to make the case to business and property owners about how to save money by more effectively and sustainably operating their building portfolios.

In her free time, Shayna can be found running and biking in the majestic Marin County hills, enjoying her animals, gardening, and dining on local, organic fruits and vegetables. Shayna is a graduate of the University of Southern California, she is a Certified Green Building Professional, and a member of many professional organizations.

James Rogers

JamesRJames comes to GPS with a consulting and sustainable real estate background. He spent his days working as a financial consultant in the healthcare industry and then transitioned into becoming one of the early agents in San Francisco’s first green real estate company. His previous experiences gave him a foundational skill set which have only increased his desire for entrepreneurial activities. While studying economics abroad, James began to see business perspectives that included the environment as a given factor of every equation and was intrigued that this was so rare in the United States.

The works of Paul Hawken, Amory Lovins, and Hunter Lovins originally influenced James and helped foster his realization that private business can be a leader in the sustainability movement while still making a profit. Learning about companies like Interface, the world’s largest producer of modular carpet which also has the goal of becoming the world’s first restorative company by 2020, has shown that everyone can make a difference by starting small and thinking big. Now, James has the privilege of studying under Hunter Lovins at Presidio Graduate School. These studies continue to provide insight and additional skills that are utilized at GPS.

James is a Certified Green Building Professional, an Ecobroker, and an MBA in Sustainable Management candidate at Presidio Graduate School (expected 2010). When not working on the business aspects of sustainability, you can find James backpacking in the Sierras, road or mountain biking in Marin, or hanging out with his dog at the beach or the park.
